    I loved this simple, to the point easy to follow video. No annoying music playing when you're talking. I just started tonight to try to make my first pair of earrings. They are all done thanks to you!!!! I like them too. 😊❤

    Super helpful! Thank you! This was the step I was lacking. I haven’t been confident enough to sell or share my designs yet because sometimes the wire isn’t tucked enough and I don’t want to poke anyone (totally fine poking myself 🤣🤣🤣). Thank you so much for the tip! Grateful for your teaching 🙏💜💜💜

    I want to try making ring splints, which keep my knuckles from bending backwards during normal tasks like writing. Do you think 16g half hard would hold its shape well with a kind of firm resistance applied? And would it be soft enough to work with? I'm new to everything

    • @KimberlieKohler
      @KimberlieKohler 2 роки тому

      I had never heard of ring splints before, so I just looked them up. I think that 16 g half hard would work well, but I also think you may want to consider 18 gauge. 16 might be too thick. I found this video on here - I don't know this person at all, but she used 18 gauge ua-cam.com/video/ryMmlu-NPXM/v-deo.html

    Thank you for this great video demonstration on how to make earrings by making your own wire connectors. That was great! I used the ready-made head pins for these earrings, but to make sure that the beads couldn't come off the head pins, I used silver bead caps as well. I love how the bead caps look anyway and I often use them, both underneath and on top of my beads. And, for the connectors, I used the German Style Silver Wire (which is springy enough for the connectors to keep their shape. I learned the hard way NOT to use the Artistic Wire because it's too soft to use for this purpose!) And I used my Wire Jig for making the connectors, which makes it much easier to make 4 identical components. Lots of love from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia ❤️

      I don't have much experience with aluminum wire, to be honest, but I would imagine it would work the same as other wires.

      @@KimberlieKohler oh okay i tried with aluminium wire because thats the only anti tarnish wire i found, it's just they are very soft and can bend easily.

    Very lovely. I love all the color and added glitter from the clear beads. I use a small coil at the end of the wire instead of tape (a tip I saw on another video somewhere). Great deal on your bag of beads. I always hunt thrift stores too. Off to make myself one now. Thank you for the great tutorial ☺♥

    Thank you for making this video. Very informative. I got a basic jewelry-making toolkit about a month ago with the regular plier-cutters/beveled edge just to get started and I've been considering investing in a pair of good flush cutters.
